Peer Review Process
JCDT considers independent peer review essential to maintaining the originality, methodological quality, relevance, and integrity of published research. Submitted manuscripts first undergo editorial screening for scope, originality, academic quality, methodological soundness, ethical compliance, presentation, and submission requirements.
JCDT follows a single-blind peer-review process. Under this model, reviewers are informed of the identities and affiliations of the authors, while reviewer identities remain confidential and are not disclosed to the authors. Authors are therefore not required to anonymize manuscripts for peer review.
Manuscripts considered suitable are normally assessed by at least two appropriately qualified and independent reviewers. Possible editorial decisions include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Resubmit for Review, and Reject. The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately designated editor.
Initial Manuscript Submission
Authors may submit their initial manuscripts in Microsoft Word, PDF, or LaTeX format, allowing flexibility at the submission stage. Upon acceptance, the editorial team will request the corresponding editable Word or LaTeX source files for copyediting, typesetting, and final production.
Open Access, Copyright and Licensing
JCDT is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely accessible online without subscription or reader-access charges.
Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0). Readers may share and adapt licensed material for non-commercial purposes provided appropriate credit is given, the source is acknowledged, a link to the license is supplied, and changes are indicated. Commercial reuse is not permitted under CC BY-NC 4.0 without appropriate authorization from the relevant rights holder.
Publication Charges
JCDT does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, withdrawal fees, or standard publication fees. The absence of publication charges does not influence editorial decisions.
Originality and Similarity Screening
Submitted manuscripts must represent original scholarly work and must not be simultaneously under consideration by another journal. Manuscripts may undergo similarity and originality screening during editorial assessment. Similarity is evaluated according to the nature, location, extent, and context of overlapping material rather than relying exclusively on a fixed numerical percentage.
Indexing, Discoverability and DOI Registration
- Google Scholar — scholarly discovery and search visibility.
- Crossref DOI — DOI registration and persistent metadata services.
- ResearchGate — scholarly visibility where article records are available.
- ISSN Portal — official serial record for ISSN 3107-9466.
Digital Preservation and Archiving
JCDT recognizes the importance of preserving published scholarly content and maintaining long-term access to the academic record.
The journal uses the Open Journal Systems (OJS) publishing platform to manage and disseminate published issues, articles, metadata, and associated files.
Journal publication files and records are maintained within the publisher's digital infrastructure, together with operational backup and recovery arrangements intended to reduce the risk of accidental data loss.
Where JCDT establishes participation in a recognized third-party digital-preservation service, this section will be updated accordingly.
For additional information, see the Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy.
Author Guidelines and Submission
Authors intending to submit manuscripts to JCDT should carefully review the journal's manuscript preparation, authorship, ethical, metadata, and submission requirements.
