Aim

The Journal of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities (JASSH) aims to provide an international, peer-reviewed scholarly platform for the publication and dissemination of rigorous, original, and interdisciplinary research in applied social sciences, humanities, education, management, economics, culture, public policy, human development, and contemporary societal studies.

The journal seeks to:

• Publish high-quality original and interdisciplinary research with clear scholarly, social, cultural, educational, economic, or policy contributions.
• Advance theoretical, empirical, qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research addressing contemporary social and human-centered issues.
• Facilitate the dissemination of research findings, critical perspectives, conceptual developments, and evidence-based approaches relevant to society and the humanities.
• Encourage collaboration among researchers, academicians, social scientists, humanities scholars, practitioners, educators, and policymakers.

Peer Review Process

JASSH considers independent peer review essential to maintaining the originality, methodological quality, scholarly relevance, and integrity of published research.

All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess:

• Relevance to the journal's aims and scope.
• Originality and scholarly contribution.
• Methodological and analytical soundness.
• Clarity and completeness of presentation.
• Compliance with submission and ethical requirements.
• Potential plagiarism, duplicate submission, or other research-integrity concerns.

Manuscripts considered suitable for further evaluation are normally reviewed by at least two appropriately qualified and independent reviewers.

JASSH follows a single-blind peer-review process. Under this model, reviewers are provided with the identities and affiliations of the authors, while the identities of the reviewers remain confidential and are not disclosed to the authors. Authors are therefore not required to anonymize their manuscripts for peer review. Complete and accurate author names, affiliations, email addresses, and other required metadata should be provided during submission through the OJS platform.

Possible editorial decisions include Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, Resubmit for Review, and Reject. Where reviewer recommendations differ substantially, an additional independent review may be obtained. The final publication decision rests with the Editor-in-Chief or an appropriately designated editor.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

JASSH is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, transparency, fairness, accountability, and responsible scholarly communication.

The journal maintains policies addressing editorial independence, reviewer responsibilities, authorship and contributions, conflicts of interest, funding disclosure, originality and plagiarism, research integrity, research data, human-participant research, generative artificial intelligence, image and data manipulation, corrections and retractions, complaints and appeals, citation ethics, and confidentiality.

Originality and Similarity Screening

Manuscripts submitted to JASSH must represent original scholarly work and must not be simultaneously under consideration by another journal.

Submitted manuscripts may undergo similarity and originality screening during editorial assessment. Similarity is evaluated according to the nature, location, extent, and context of overlapping material rather than relying exclusively on a fixed numerical similarity threshold. Properly quoted material, references, standard methodological language, preprints, and legitimate reuse may require contextual editorial assessment.

Plagiarism, inappropriate textual reuse, duplicate or redundant publication, fabrication, falsification, fraudulent authorship, peer-review manipulation, and citation manipulation are not accepted.

Open Access Policy

JASSH is an open-access journal. All published articles are made freely accessible online without subscription or reader-access charges.

Readers may access, share, and reuse published material in accordance with the Creative Commons license applied to each article.

Copyright and Licensing

Authors retain copyright in their published work subject to the journal's publication and licensing arrangements.

Articles published in JASSH are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution–NonCommercial 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC 4.0).

Under this license, readers may share and adapt published material for non-commercial purposes provided appropriate credit is given, the original source is acknowledged, a link to the license is supplied, and changes are indicated. Commercial reuse is not permitted under CC BY-NC 4.0 without appropriate authorization from the relevant rights holder.

Publication Charges

JASSH does not charge Article Processing Charges (APCs), submission fees, or standard publication fees. The absence of publication charges does not influence editorial decisions.

Publication Frequency

JASSH was launched in July 2025. One issue was published during its inaugural year (July–December 2025). From 2026 onward, the journal follows a biannual publication schedule:

• Issue 1: January–June.
• Issue 2: July–December.

Journal History

The Journal of Applied Social Sciences and Humanities was launched in July 2025 by Krrish Scientific Publications.

The journal was established to provide an open-access scholarly platform for high-quality social-science, humanities, educational, cultural, policy, and interdisciplinary research. JASSH continues to develop its editorial, peer-review, publication-ethics, metadata, discoverability, and digital-publishing practices in support of internationally recognized standards of scholarly communication.
